The Rio Grande de Tarcoles is a big river that borders the Carrara National Park. This is a big river that borders the Carrara National Park. It has several colonies of crocodiles that can be seen from the highway bridge that crosses it. This informal crocodile watching activity from the bridge has become so popular with tourists that restaurants and souvenir shops have open nearby. This river marks the northern limit of the Carrara National Park.
