Volcanoes

Costa Rica's geological constitution is mainly from volcanic origin. There are over 200 known volcanic formations in its territory.

Because of this fact, Costa Rica captures the attention of both tourists and scientists that come to marvel and study the incredible natural wealth of the country.

The tourist can visit and enjoy not only the volcanoes themselves and the views they offer, but also the abundant thermal water rivers of the Arenal Volcano or the geysers and hot mud holes of the Rincon de la Vieja volcano.
